What does it mean to be holy?
There is considerable Scripture dedicated to imploring believers to strive for living in purity and righteousness in their daily walk with Christ. Regrettably, this teaching is often overlooked in many church gatherings today. Yet, for a believer’s joy and spiritual growth, it is vital to stress the importance in striving to live holy, upright, godly lives.
We are saved by grace, not by works. Works are to sequentially follow salvation.
In the book of James, believers are reminded that good works ought to accompany genuine faith. We can rest in absolute assurance, that our salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone and not by works. But, too, genuine faith in Christ will absolutely not let us rest from serving others for their betterment and Jesus’ glory.
What does the Bible say about the love of money?
“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have” (Heb 13:5). Live in contentment and humility in whatever your situation. Regardless of where you are economically, the answer to true wealth and prosperity come back to your personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Wisdom: A gift from God for those who ask in faith
God desires for all His children to increase in wisdom. That being so, God won’t withhold wisdom from anyone who asks in faith. Why would He? God wants us to draw nearer to Him and wisdom brings us closer into His presence, because wisdom is grounded in faith and reverence of God. But we must trust Him and believe that He grants good things to those who ask.
